Shine on this Wedding Season

The Indian wedding season is here again. It’s time for some fun, food, friends, family and absolute fiesta. Any routine is boring, so try some chic or offbeat Indian ethnic trends and make a fashion statement that will get all heads turning!

Patialas – Bright bold colors for Patialas with ethnic prints are in this season. Pair it up with a short tight fighting kurti or an embellished shirt. If you want to experiment with lighter Patiala shades make sure to use a flimsy fabric like georgette and use a contrasting shade for a kurti or a shirt. You can also use a bandhana stole to complete this look.

A-line kurtis with churidars – If you’re not in the mood for some heavy bling try a plain A-line kurti. Pair this up with an embellished dupatta with some Indian ethnic prints or Rajasthani bandej block prints. Depending on your taste and ethnicity, you can also choose a Kanjivaram or a Banarasi dupatta.

Long maxi skirt with traditional prints – If the Indo-western fusion look doesn’t go for you, this one is just the perfect outfit for you. Pick up any bright colored embellished top and pair it up with a floor length maxi skirt. You can also take a printed chiffon stole or carry a chunni with latkans to complete the traditional look.

Six-yard wonder with a broad border – If you can carry it off, there is nothing as stunning and graceful as a saree: the six-yard wonder. Sarees in soft pastel shades with darker borders are a big trend this season. You can also experiment with boota or crochet work to enhance the look and feel.

Fish cut lehenga’s– fish cut lehengas with backless cholis are back in vogue. If you are not too comfortable carrying of a backless choli go for a shorter and closed high neck choli instead, match this with a multi frilled or multi layered lehenga.

Anarkalis? Not again!

Say no to anarkali’s this season. It has become such a cliché these days. Try experimenting with other patterns, styles and fabrics rather than opting for anarkalis. If you still would prefer one, try a gown type full length anarkali without a duppata.

Go bold!

Try to choose vibrant and bold tones of yellow, orange or red this wedding season. Opting for neon shades might also be a great idea, especially if you are choosing Indo-western outfits.

Rock ‘n’ roll with these hot trends and lose count of the number of heads turning your way, this Wedding season.
